Have to remember that Mayweather became his own de facto promoter, had a polarizing persona, his own brand, had opponents that had fan bases and the PPV price in the US is greater than the UK price so Mayweather's percentage would be greater. Also cannot be ignored that the population of the UK cannot be compared to the United States so AJ's notoriety/popularity will never rival Mayweather's.

Numbers don't lie...Mayweather has over 7 million Twitter followers. Anthony Joshua has about 900,000. He has a long way to go.
