        Salido is awesome.

He's had a really solid career when you take into account that he started boxing professionally at the age of 15 years, 3 months and 2 weeks of age.

In his first 22 fights (from the age of 15.28 til the age of 20.65) he started with a record of 13-7-2.

In his 23rd fight he manages to get a SD win (which I haven't watched so I cannot confirm if that was proper scoring) over Regilio Tuur (who is a forgotten underrated SFW). It should be noted that this was Tuur's second fight back after being away for 5 years, 11 months and 3 weeks.

Then in his 24th fight he loses a MD (a fight I haven't seen so I cannot confirm if it was proper scoring) to Alejandro Gonzalez (who was 47-4-1 at the time and had experience against the likes of : a KO win over Luisito Espinosa, a SD win over Cesar Soto, a RTD win over a 41-0-0 Kevin Kelley, a SD loss against Manuel Medina, a KO loss against Luisito Espinosa, a MD win over a 14-0-0 Steve Forbes, and immediately after fighting a 14-7-2 Salido would go on to lose to Stevie Johnston by MD).

So I think it's interesting that Salido would have this kind of start (14-8-2) to his career and from there go 29-6-2 having good fights against :

Juan Manuel Marquez (L - UD)
Robert Guerrero (originally a W - UD, but later changed to a ND due to testing positive to nandrolone in the first post fight drug test, even though Salido had a follow-up blood test and the results came back negative of any steroids)
        Cristobal Cruz (L - SD, W - UD)
        Yuriorkis Gamboa (L - UD)
        Juan Manuel Lopez (W - TKO, W - TKO)
        Mikey Garcia **L - TD)
        Vasyl Lomachenko (W - SD)
        Roman Martinez (L - UD, D - SD)
        Francisco Vargas (D - MD)

Most of these fights (W/L/D) he made very exciting and as some one else mentioned he had some exciting fights in between.

Robinson didn't start losing till 35 and by then already had the most accomplished record of all time with 128 wins... and of coarse his only loss in his prime to lamotta he redeemed 4 times. You have no point with trying to compare him to solido...

Loma is a damn good fighter but rematching this guy is literally fighting a over the hill loser..out of 50 fights he has 13 losses and 4 damn draws and has been knocked out 5 damn times
...and yet every thread about loma has all kinds of "he got salido problems doe" posts. Why don't you want the guy to avenge his only defeat? There are better fights out there, but obviously he wants that get back.

I was not aware that Salido is held at high standards. But back when he beat Loma and Juanma, he was a beast

Who? Why are you making up this narrative? Is it because people are ok with him fighting Lomachenko, a guy he holds a win over?
