No he's just stubborn but Jim lampley has had too many horrible calls he's undoubtably the worst of all time and why a lot of people hate hbo.

Also bob costas, who doesn't call much fights but when he does is watching a whole other sport he really doesn't know a thing about boxing.

He tries too hard to go against the popular opinion.

My answer to your question is YES. To me he is by far the worst possible commentator. To those of you who like him, enjoy him because he will be calling fights for ESPN for many more years.

He's easily the most insightful when it comes to strategy and technique. Best since Steward. Yes, more insightful than Roy or B Hop. Teddy really has a mind for strategy.

His opinions on the fighters themselves can be umm..... insane at times.

Atlas is annoying for sure, but there isnt a worse commentator ever than Bobby Czyz. I dont even think there is a close second........

I prefer Teddy and his candid honesty over the polished bias of Lampley, Max, and Paulie who try to be PC while short changing the non-house fighter and calling phantom punches for their guy.

Teddy sounds like the guy at the end of the bar calling the fight after 8 beers and a few shots of Jameson. He's not a polished turd like Ranalo who tries too hard to be funny.

I've always found it weird how people accuse Lampley of being biased just because he gets so emotional during fights, but Atlas gets away with straight up ****ting on a fighter ringside, lobbing around unfounded accusations, etc.

His face scar and stereotypical boxing guy accent have gotta be like a magnet to the casual viewer though. I remember the first time I saw him I was like wow is this the guy every video game boxing trainer was based off of? But his commentary sucks to hell.

Steward had great chemistry on that team.

With all due respect Hopkins ringside reminds me of that family guy skit:
