Didn't Wilder say forget this date & fight him in July?

This is no surprise as a few of us discussed the WBO top 15 & who could be available on 2 weeks notice. Cojanu was one of the 4 we figure would get the fight. The others were Rudenko, Fujimoto & Zhang...

Have I not mentioned Cojanu as the likely choice in a few other threads? He's cheap, he sucks and he's already fought in China and Australia before. This will be an absolute whitewash, make no doubt about it, Donovan Dennis KO'd this dude in 2 rounds. Parker obliterates him inside 4

Excitement level for this HW title fight is at a 0.

But whatever, what can you do when you are mainly just trying to not waste a booked venue date &/or a scheduled fight.

Can't fault anyone here despite Parker likely being sh^t on well into the future for fighting this random guy who for sure doesn't deserve a title shot maybe more than anyone abc ranked at HW who is in play for a title shot lol.

exactly. Plus Parker been fighting 4-5 times a year but has been out since december. He needs to fight in May so that he can get a total of 3 fights this year. He can come back in August then Nov/Dec.

What will be interesting is if the WBO makes him fight Hughie after this fight. Not so sure Parker and his team want to waste the time and energy fighting him again for him to pull out

              I would hope not.

The fact Hughie was the mandatory should be shameful to the WBO as is. Hughie deserves a mandatory shot only slightly more than this Boxcino loser does now if he happens to get it. If a title shot lands on your lap somehow like it did for Hughie & maybe for Cojanu soon & you eff it up I think you get pushed back to the end of the line or at least you don't stay at the front of the line.

It was a poke at all the morons expecting a Wilder fight on 12 days notice, dude needs two weeks in NZ let alone a training camp for an opponent similar in stature and style.

Breazeale would be a better opponent and said he is willing, but looks like Parker wants an easier title defense.

Barry's son has already said he's Bullschitting, and actually wants to fight at a later date (not in 2 weeks)

LOL! No sh&t... You would think they would be smart enough to realize that the promoters would want some time to PROMOTE a unification match. It was pretty obvious the choice would be a WBO top 15 guy who has no chance of ever getting a title shot unless it was on 12 days notice as a replacement. That Cojanu will get destroyed in a round. Journeyman Donovan Dennis crushed him in 2...
