What about the chins? does it matter? Does GGG have a better chin?

However at this time.. I'm gonna go against the grain and say Golovkin for 2 reasons:
      1) Chances of either guy surviving for 12 rounds against a legit HW are very, very low. At least having a puncher's chance would increase the odds.
      2) Ward is not the same fighter he was 5 years ago. He's not nearly as mobile as he was. The dude eats a lot of shots nowadays, especially jabs. Barrera landed a ton of jabs on him, and Kovalev dominated the first half of the fight with jabs. Eating HW jabs for 12 rounds is just not gonna happen.

If this question was posed in 2011, I'd say Ward.
You're being silly and you know that but I didn't really want to argue that, just came to say that Barrera did not land a ton of jabs, he landed 12% on Ward.

GGG, but getting caught flush at HW, it won't matter which one has a better chin. Either one is likely going to sleep if caught clean.

I choose Golovkin because of his chin. I don't think he would be able to beat the HW. He would lose, but he would make it more competitive because of his chin.
          Ward would go down quickly.

No, I don't know that. I think Golovkin beats Ward now (and 3 years ago) and stands a better chance against a heavyweight today. You have your belief that Ward is god and amazing etc. That's no reason to say that other people who have a different opinion are being "silly". That's just insulting.

And yes, Barrera landed 10% or whatever of jabs on Ward and nothing else, and here's how Ward looked after that fight:

Now imagine Ward getting hit by a guy who weighs 50 lbs more than Barrera. There's 0 chance he can stand up to 12 rounds of that.

You're using Daggum logic now. Come on Jozef, you're better than that.

I have no idea what 'daggum logic' means. I stated my opinion that I firmly believe in and gave my reasons. Ward can't last 12 rounds with a HW, while Golovkin has a better chin and at least a puncher's chance. If he starts raining down liver shots on some bum like Parker, he can get a TKO win.

                  Jozef just KO'd Red fox.

Fox can come back from this he just needs to fight at a lower level for a while

                  ps: this thread is ******ed.

                    Based on?

Chavez Jr. came in at 190+ against Fonfara and got stopped by a guy with just a 50% KO ratio. Chavez had 0 problem walking through Andy Lee's punches, a top 3 puncher in the division.

Fonfara toyed and stopped Chavez Jr. tells me he'd probably have a 100% KO ratio at 160.

ggg could barely handle DJ's size/power but you think he can hang with a HW lololol

I guess Ward but both get crushed at heavyweight.
