If GGG doesn't get the Canelo fight he needs to fight Jacobs. Bottom line

Why put your career on hold for Canelo when it's not guaranteed you;ll fight him next? And why do you keep saying he wants to rest when GGG says and his camp says he wantss to fight 3-4 time a year and Abel just said he can be ready in July?
It means he doesn't want to commit to fighting BJS in the immediate future.

It does not mean that he doesn't ever want to fight him, and that he's now changed his goals of wanting to obtain all of the belts.

He says every year that he would like 3-4 fights per year. But they lost a fight by waiting around for Jacobs. Yet according to you, he's only in it for the money.

What fight did they lose waiting for Jacobs? Wasn't Tom the one who asked for an extension and still ended up giving Jacobs a 41-59 split? They tried to stall Jacobs out and it wasn't happening because Jacobs had the superior team

I think Triple G should just do what they've been saying they're going to do.

If the Canelo fight falls through, go after whoever has the WBO belt, then try to get Canelo again, if that fails again, then fight Jacobs.

They had an HBO date for an opponent in December. After the Brook fight in September, Jacobs sent out tweets saying he was ready. Then he wasn't. Then apparently he'd been in the gym training, and was ready again, before eventually saying he'd need another few months to prepare. Then the negotiations dragged out for months, with the WBA issuing deadlines. Meanwhile, Loeffler said they'd still be open to fighting Eubank. In the end, they wasted 3 months on Jacobs. The initial plan was to fight in December and then again in March. In the end, GG had 6 months out of the ring. So if GG and K2 were fixated purely on the money, they'd have ditched Jacobs and pursued someone else.

im basically on board with this. watching live and with a nice buzz, i thought it was a close fight that golovkin edged. watching sober, i gave jacobs like 2-3 clear rounds.

however, it was an entertaining fight and if theres nobody else on the immediate horizon, why not?

Now that he doesn't want to unify and become undisputed it's time to stop defending the belts like the IBF. He can still break Hopkins record by defending the WBC and WBA.
what you know wouldnt fill a gel-tab.

What kind of twisted reasoning is this? If K2 were trying to stall Jacobs out then why did they give him more money than he was entitled to to make the fight?

K2 gave Jacobs his mandatory shot, gave him the extra money, gave him a 3 months delayed date so he could get in another roid cycle, gave him an early morning weigh in and didn't protest when Danny skipped the second IBF weight check and came in 20lbs heavier that Golovkin.

Golovkin still beat Danny and he doesn't need to do it again till Jacobs earns himself another shot.

That's what a biased, hypocritical arse-hole this guy is.

I would like him to rematch Jacobs but I see no reason he should drop his IBF title. Something could be worked out for him to rematch Jacobs while retaining his IBF title with T. Johnson getting a fight with the winner.
