Parker would come to England, so would Ortiz... probably all top HWs with the money as good as it is there. Very few fighters get life-changing money anyway, and a boxing career at the top is less than 10 years on average. I have no issue with boxers making the most they can make, just so they aren't ducking the toughest fights.
He makes a lot of ££ from sponsorships though. Imagine if he was known in the US as well as the UK?

He would be crazy not to get himself established as a name in the US imo.

I would take the Wilder fight in the US as he might not get another chance in his career to fight a US HW title holder in the US. It wouldnt make as much money in the short term. But the long term benefits would be worth it

This makes perfect sense. If I was Wilder I'd be trying get a peice of that 90,000 person live gate. The tickets prices and ppv price is lower in the UK, but the total revenue would still be higher than what they could do in the US.

Not sure how the fighters are taxed in the UK, but it seems like smart money to fight there.

It tends to rise your profile to fight in more places when you get as big as Joshua could get. Ali helped show that and I believe Floyd missed an opportunity to become bigger worldwide by sticking to the MGM Grand for most of the meaningful fights of his career. He for sure shoulda fought Hatton in the UK at a minimum.

But sure you can stick to the UK and do just fine and better then fine if you are among the tip top guys in the sport.

My assumption is a promoter wouldn't be a huge fan of this cuz you probably leave several million on the table with the gate. But if both fighters and the promoter are cool not maximizing the gate then fair play.

I think for the most part doe it doesn't make sense to go to random spots (Macau might be the exception when they were overpaying) when you can fight abroad just at the over guys home city, state or country to maximize revenue.

I also imagine there is a lot of unprofessional bs the promoter and fighters would have to contend with in places not known to throw big fights that makes the whole ordeal less than ideal. I was reading the book about Ali vs Berbick a few months ago and them doing basic sh-t for that fight was a problem cuz the Ba***** wasn't used to throwing big fights. The two things most hilarious to me was guys had to share gloves cuz they didn't have enough and the ring bell was stolen from a cow hours before the card started.

It's really a fact that Brit boxing stars are endemic; outside their little foggy boggy depressive island they are free Ws and get exposed
Some of them refuse to leave their island even late in their career, when they refuse always some mofo from outside come and destroy them
                  Barrera vs Hamid
                  Ali vs Cooper
Golovkin vs Brook, Eubank, Saunsomething soon duck duck
                  Kell Brook vs Spence
Rigo vs Frampton duck duck duck
Theyr just big compared to each other, within themselves.
Edit: not just Americas, the whole world infac goes after them.

well the reason i say this bc he alluded to wantin' to do a fight in Afraka like Muhammad Ali did with George Foreman in Zaire so that would be this generations version of that SUPERFIGHT & in all places Afraka
