The real sinister thing is that if Hughie is on PEDs (and remember, he did actually test positive for nandrolone so he definitely had it in his system), it's likely to be Peter Fury, his own father who supplied them.

How messed up is that? Give your own 20yo kid drugs that could screw him over for life.

We know they go train in bizarre places off the grid in Europe, possibly via Peter's old drug connections. This doesn't mean anything by itself but it does avoid the year round UKAD testing - you can't be tested if noone knows where the hell you are.

In some respects I feel sorry for Hughie because I can't imagine growing up with a complete pathological liar like Peter for a father. It's amazing how he manages to have us convinced everything is all rosey time and time again.

Some sports dads are just ***ed. When I was growing up a couple friends of mine (brothers) told me their dad would give them "muscle shots" but I wasn't allowed to tell anyone. Their grandfather was always bringing them autographs from pro wrestlers he happened to know. The grandfather ended up getting busted and front page of the AZ Republic called him "the grandfather of steroids". He was a huge dealer.
After that, nothing surprises me when it comes to sports dads.

As with Tyson last year it seems like another bottle job, for all the shit the family talks the self-belief is only for show, and they've wasted time out of the career of another fighter. I'd rather they both just retire. I did want AJ-Fury but I couldn't imagine being happy if it was signed because I'd be waiting for the inevitable cancellation every day. Even if they made it through camp and the weigh in, on fight night as Tyson made his entrance I'd be expecting him to turn back halfway through his ring walk, shouting nonsense excuses on how it was all everyone else's fault.
