Why not? You don't think it would be a good fight? And BTW, he isn't begging. He's asking. There's a difference.

Will Jacobs actually fight any of these guys, or is it just going to be more easy fights and waiting around for another big payday?

I'm a fan of Jacobs but fans like myself will lose interest in his boxing career if his boxing career does not provide regular challenge and entertainment. That's just the way it works. We are fans of a spectator sport. We spectate to be entertained. Boxing entertains in a couple ways: either spectacular action in firefights between evenly matched guys, or best vs best with skill being shown between evenly matched guys who are competing to be the best. Without one of those factors, it's boring.

I get that Jacobs is resting now to recover from the GGG fight, but if he's only going to fight every 6 months, then it should be against guys at the David Lemieux or Peter Quillin level at minimum, not Sergio Mora.
Definitely a Lemieux matchup would be great, as well as some others you mentioned. Jacobs has proven himself a quality fighter with serious talent, so yeah we will see soon enough. My guess he takes an easy fight next. IMO 2 tough fights in a row isn't good for a fighter's longevity. But I'm guessing after that he starts going deep again.

Jacobs wants a medal or at least a cookie for lasting 12 rounds

He definitely increased his stock with his performance despite the loss. But, I'm not sure where he goes from here. The 2 biggest names in his division probably won't go near him. I doubt ggg goes for the rematch anytime soon and I doubt Canelo or golden boy is eager to make that fight either.

The first fight was kind of a chess match, so I can see some not interested in a rematch. But it certainly had more back and forth action than the Wade, Monroe, Geale etc fights.

I thought Jacobs won. He proved myself and a lot of people wrong. He definitely proved Golovkin isn't the monster everyone thinks he is, however, it's time to move on. If you get a rematch be more convincing next time.
