At what age would Canelo's win over Golovkin still be impressive?

If he's still undefeated than it will be he same.
It's up to BBB side if the fight happens sooner rather than later. He has his offer and it's not getting any better after his last PPV bombed again. Take it or fight bums for what your making now until your past your prime.
It's not like Canelo is offering chump change here. If it's such an easy fight like BBB sides 12 fans here say it is, take the money and beat his ass then dictate terms in a rematch. Seems BBB side isn't as confident as his supporters here.Comment

Not sure about GGG's best-before age, but Canelo will never get full credit if he beats him now. When the hype for the match up was at its peak, he dropped his green belt, and instead fought the weakest title holder in a lighter division i.e. less than 155. Business move or otherwise, the fans' perception is that GBP is waiting for GGG's skills to diminish. And Canelo is down with the strategy. That stink will never dissipate.
Ray Leonard also did this to Marvin Hagler, although the mitigating factor is that Leonard himself returned after a 3-year retirement and therefore no longer prime either. Conversely, when Tommy Hearns got sparked, he challenged a prime Hagler. Canelo has squandered a similar opportunity for legacy against GGG.Comment

He will never be respected (outside of his cult following fans) until he fights Golovkin or another fighter that is in his prime. Without a catchweight, with drug testing and for at least one belt. Until then, to most fight fans, he's a show fighter who only looks for the weakest guys he can find while making the most money. All while claiming to be the best. What he doesn't realize is, even if he fought Golovkin last year and lost, he would have gained a lot of respect from itComment
