UFC president Dana White believes Conor McGregor will make about $75 million from his fight with Floyd Mayweather should it go ahead. Speculation about a boxing fight between the UFC lightweight champion and retired boxer have not gone away. I don't think so. The guarantee will be 75 for Conor; Floyd's will be 100. However the PPV split is going to favor Mayweather by a lot. Based on the statement from Dana, I wouldn't be surprised if Conor got nothing above 75. Whereas Floyd will make 100 plus another 50 -70 on PPV.

People praise the great Chavez as the best Mexican fighter yet he fought some guy with a 1-15 record for his 50th fight and someone with 0-1 record for his 66th fight.
People only criticize Floyd and give every fighter from the past, a pass for stacking their resumes with over 50 bums.

How many amateur fights did Chavez have? Besides what does a Mexican have to do with an Irish & black dude fighting?

People on here spent the past few years saying that Rousey and Conor would whoop Floyd, that Floyd would get KOd and that he was afraid of them. Now that its a possibility that a fight between Floyd and Conor could happen people are outraged. Where was the outrage when Tony and Couture fought? Or Mercer vs Tim Sylvia?

People were referring to Connor and Rousey beating Mayweather in a full contact MMA fight, not Boxing.

I'd speculate that means the UFC is taking $25M-$50M themselves. Sounds like a nice juicy amount for Conor to not feel like he's getting too f#cked over to try to get out of his probably illegal contract, but also is life changing money that isn't turn downable by the UFC's guesstimation.

Once the UFC & Conor have figured things out its still about if those numbers match up with Floyd's expectations. The only equation on Floyd's mind is if this fight is gonna make him enough money to potentially lower his whatever amount of his legacy gets damaged in this fight via the blowback from just fighting a 0-0 guy to losing a round to the unthinkable or some other embarrassing outcome.

I'm still of the opinion this fight isn't going to happen. Maybe put it at a 25% chance of happening as of now despite all the positive opinions of most involved.

... if the UFC is getting $25m for themselves, Dana White's opening gambit to the press (Skip Bayless, when it comes to Mayweather and a few other topics, can't earnestly be called the press) is basically stating that Floyd is splitting the money on the pot 50/50 with the UFC.

Manny Pacquiao couldn't even get 40% of the pot; how in the heck is Dana White supposed to get 50%?
