True, it's very difficult to say who's #1 which is why I made this thread to see the results of the poll. But if I had to pick right now I'd go with Lomachenko due to how good he's looked. He doesn't do anything wrong at all from what I've seen of him in his past few fights. I think though if Ward or Kovalev beats the other decisively in the second fight than they will be #1.

Loma is my number 1. He is 28 years old and just starting to peak. Ward, Kovalev and GGG are well past 30 and past their prime although still great fighters. Loma is so good he can make a fighter as good as Walters just give up. Nobody near his weight can beat him now in my opinion.

have GGG #1 because nobody in boxing has more definitively proven themselves as the top guy in their division than GGG has.

1. Kovalev 1. Ward 1. Golovkin 1. Gonzalez

Truth is there is no clear cut #1 right now. You can have a four way tie at #1 with these 4 guys. Regardless of who you think won what, all 4 have looked vulnerable in their most recent fights.

Guys like Loma definitely look the part but he has to fight better competition first, same goes for Crawford.
