you don't know how boxing works.

It is common for most fighters, and fights to either break even, or lose money.

That is why so few can make it in the promotion game - it takes time, and money to build a fighter to the point where they are profitable.

I dont pretend to be familiar with US law and only scanned the court case but from memory, he received the appropriate advice at the time and simply chose to break the contract (hence the verdict).

Real surprise was that GBP wasnt found liable as well

As for cutting a pay deal, I assume that he would need to negotiate with All Star for that to happen and he obviously hasnt done that

Based on that article I don't see much reason for a lawsuit. It don't look like Al Haymon did anything wrong. There's probably more to it than that but from that article I can see why it got dismissed.
But I will disagree by Golden Boys on expert witness that most of their fighters are losing money. No way most of their fighters losing money. They probably used that tactic as a way to blame Al Haymon. IDK why or how they can blame him but no way Is that real. Golden boy is in the business of promoting Fighters and making money. Think about it.
If your a promoter and you have 100 Fighters and only ten of them are turning a profit while the other 90 are costing you money are you gonna keep promoting them over and over? **** no, you gonna stick with the ten that making you money.

In 2015 when golden boy spit ties with haymon that gutted what 50-75% of their roster? Golden Boy has spent the last 2 years taking money they make from established fighters like vargas, canelo, linares, hopkins ect and reinvesting that money back in the company by signing up a ton of young fighters and top prospects. Their roster since then has grown exponentially. They were left with a few dozen fighters in 2015. Today they have according to their website list over 80 signed fighters.

They were by design not trying to maximize their profits the last few years they were taking money mainly from canelo fights and reinvesting it back into the company to restock their roster. hoping to build and develop the next wave of Champions. Trying to create the next canelo. Young fighters don't make a company money.

The goal is you sign say 10 fighters pay to develop them all and hope at least 1 makes it big time and if he does he alone recoups the money spent for all 10. The more fighters you hit on the better you are in the future. Golden Boy from 2015 to 2017 turned over their entire roster with mainly young fighters and during that process still remained profitable as a company. Most promoters are losing money or breaking even as they try to develop their fighters.

These are facts that were disclosed as part of the lawsuit and are public record. Canelo made over 13m for the khan fight. Maybe you should do a little research. SMH
