He fights and beats Saunders, okay, Canelo fight won't happen now until probably May, but now it marinates even more for two fighters who should (although upsets are possible) win their respective bouts. Cinco de Mayo is a perfect time for the fight. Canelo beats Chavez Jr. and gains more attention, while Golovkin becomes an undisputed champion. That's good hype for their fight.

Canelo takes a build-up fight. GGG takes a fight against probably Khurt and outboxes him.

    Then, they fight in May.

I'm trying to understand the logic behind this. It makes absolutely no sense unless they're worried GGG loses or will be super shot by next May. He won't win decision anyways, if it's a close fight it's going to Canelo.
This is could be a good possibility.

I wonder what Abel Sanchez is going to say now that this came out from the WBO. We might hear from the incompetent Tom Waffler as well.

Don't expect the boxing media to hold his feet to the fire. They'll just make up more excuses

Screw bjs, he's had plenty of chances to agree to fight GGG, and he's b*tched out every time. He screwed over Golden Boy by turning down the Gabe Rosado fight at Cowboys Stadium, then has the nerve to talk mad **** about Canelo. I'm sure Oscar is gaining some satisfaction from seeing bjs left out in the cold after coming so close to finally cashing out his wbo belt.

Guess Saunders was asking for too much money.

Team Golovkin don't necessarily think that Golovkin will lose to Saunders, they are just aware of the possibility and don't wanna take the risk of..... a) looking bad..... b) looking bad, and failing to put away their opponent for the second consecutive fight..... c) heaven forbid, the worst

                  it makes PERFECT sense

                  PERFECT !!

boxing is all about risk/reward, and boxing has ALWAYS worked that way..... for EVERY fighter

I have been involved with this sport for just under 40 years, and Golovkin is the most "well-managed" fighter I have ever seen..... you guys should have spent less time calling us haters and more time listening

..... and the thing is, insiders were saying whats up, not just posters/fans..... top fighters/trainers
