What is a fighter's best weight? and when is a fighter "drained"? These are questions that are hard to answer and usually come down to opinions rather than facts.
Take Cotto, Miguel was 27-0 fighting under 145 with most of his fights around 140. At 145 to 147 Cotto was 7-2 and when Miguel moves up over 150, he's 6-3.
Just on his record Cotto was at his best at 140, not as good over 145-147 and a little worse atover 150. Of course the problem with just looking at wins and losses is you leave out things like who did he fight? at what time in the guy's career? and at what weight?
So once again opinions come in to it and that's why nothing is ever resolved and the arguments are endless. They do make me laugh out loud sometimes though.
