Sergey Lipinets is Julius Indongo's mandatory challenger for his IBF title

Hearn has an option for Indongo's next fight. Arum needs to start negotiating the fight now before the IBF calls the mandatory. Once they call the mandatory not even a unification can stop the fight. Hopefully it gets done or we'll be waiting probably until next year before Crawford gets his shot at undisputed. Lipinets is with Haymon. Could see that fight happening on the Mikey Garcia undercard in July.

I think Sergio is a tough fight for Indongo but Sergio hasn't really been tested yet.... I just hope that if that fight gets made then the winner faces Crawford.

I like Lipinets, but I don't think there is any money in that fight for anyone except Lipinets so I'm sure Hearn is calling up Arum & Crawford today to try to setup that unification.

Where would they stage the fight, Namibia? It's a good fight but I don't see any money in it either. Hearn definitely isn't spending money on a guy he can't feed to one of his other fighters.

            Doesn't unification supersede mandatories

Yes if it happens before the IBF calls the mandatory. Once they call it he'd have to fight his mandatory or vacate

Loool prince made more of an effort than Angel Garcia.... he just called Kovalev "Bobakov" or something like that.

I'd assume someone PBC-affiliated would pick it up off of him &/or co-promote it if Lipinets vs Indongo was gonna get made & put it on in some random US city that hopefully the co-main guy would be from or something like that. Or they might even make that fight the co-main over some main that doesn't really make sense to be the main lol.

Thats why I just don't see it happening. If Hearn isn't on the phone with Arum or vice versa today or sometime this week I'd be shocked. Makes a ton of sense for both sides to make Crawford vs Indongo next. Crawford has nothing interesting at 140 except Indongo + having all the titles just adds to his allure. And Indongo is likely just taking the best money opportunities presented to him & I can't imagine there is anything that makes more sense then Crawford in that regard.

Idk if there is any silly Arum vs Hearn beef that could negatively impact this fight from happening, but I think the upside is so good for all parties even if there is they'll figure it out to make this fight happen later this year.

Indongo gots more than the IBF belt. Even if the IBF belt gets stripped I can't see Crawford vs Indongo not happening with the landscape of 140 right now.
