Comments Thread For: Memo Expects Canelo To Be HEAVIER Than Chavez on Fight Night

Angel "Memo" Heredia, the strength and conditioning coach of Julio Cesar Chavez Jr., is aiming to have his boxer arrive to next month's fight at 182-pounds once he steps in the ring - and he believes opponent Saul "Canelo" Alvarez will be at last 185-pounds.

He was 174 years and years ago vs Angulo. 10 lbs more would be nothing out of the ordinary. Canelo is chunky.

The Chavez camp needs to stop saying ****** shyt. Nobody with a brain believes this. Memo just get your boy ready give him whatever PEDs needed to make weight and shut up you dirtbag cheater. Your job is to make weight but on fight night he's getting abused.

He gets to over 170-175 at 155. Why would 185 be out of the question if he comes in at 164.5

Seriously! They can't help saying ****** shyt now making excuses because they know Chavez going to lose. But anyone who thinks Canelo will be heavier is just plain ******. Chavez is naturally 2 weight classes bigger, Chavez has been busted for PEDs to make weight, Chavez trainer was involved in the biggest PEDS scandal in sports history, Chavez has missed weight too many times to count, they put in a 1m weight penalty for each lb for chavez for a reason. Chavez camp needs to stop talking non sense Chavez will be bigger then canelo but it won't matter. Canelo likely doesn't even come in at the limit. He probably going to weigh in at or around 160. Everyone is holding their breathe if Chavez even makes 164.5.

Chavez camp complaining about somebody else's weight is laughable given his history.

How do you know that? Phuk outta here with duck tales and BS. Canelo gains the same amount of weight as the rest of the top 154lbs. And no proof he has EVER gained 20lbs the next day after making weight. Let alone that he can do that after moving up 2 weight classes to fight chavez. Don't be ridiculous

                    Showtime via ESPN:

                    http://www.espn.com/boxing/story/_/i...tko-10th-round

"By fight night, Alvarez weighed 174 pounds on Showtime's scale and Angulo was 170"

That's over 3 years ago and the Chavez fight is at 164.5 (mandatory laugh track).

                    174-155=19lb cut
                    184-165=19lb cut

                    185 sounds about right.

To put into perspective how ridiculous these 155/164.5 division champions are, mid 180s is about what Hopkins/Kovalev/Ward weigh in the ring. Extreme dehydration is a sport.
