Exactly, Floyd trashed Ali for his losses, especially losing to Spinks. But that's ok because Floyd was a bigger trash talker than Ali and that's all that counts to some people.

Floyd was a great fighter. Ali was a great fighter and a great man. People didn't understand him when he was Cassius Clay. When he became Mohammed Ali they thought they knew him and reacted in anger. Wrong again. He turned out to be one of those people that make you look at yourself ***** and all and that made people uncomfortable. People don't want to see that some of their core beliefs are corrupt. The blame the messanger and everyone else but not themselves. We were lucky to have him so Floyd **** off your not good enough to wipe his shoes.

I love Ali and I love Marciano. Marciano was really a light heavyweight. Heavyweights don't have go make weight. Marciano would weigh in on the morning of his fight at about 184 pounds in street clothes and well fed and fully hydrated. He knocked out Charles and Moore. Two of the greatest light heavyweights of all time and they both outweighed him. Marciano was famous as a heavyweight but I think of him as the best light heavyweight of them all. The young Ali who beat Sonny Liston was probably the best heavyweight in history.

That was a great interview. Fascinating to hear Marciano talk about how he thought about a comeback and started training again to see how he felt, deciding in the end that it wasn't a good idea. As with everything about the interview, Rocky was candid and humble. He gave the young Ali a lot of credit. Marciano's opinion about Ali's talk has to be viewed in light of the time those words were spoken, the sixties. Those were different times. Many black people felt the same way then. And it's interesting to hear Rocky say, "Time will tell," regarding Ali's greatness. Well, I think we all know how that turned out....

No one outside of boxing will remember Floyd Mayweather, Jr. Ali, on the other hand...

Floyd couldn't begin to approach Ali's verbal skill and personal charisma. He tried hard, but just didn't have the tools.

No you clearly havent or lack that much intellect to know Marciano said he would have liked to fight a guy on louis level and in those days he was bringing bad publicity to boxing. If you actually followed Marciano you would also know he said he would have trouble with Alis speed later on...of course you dont know any of this stuff....figures? lol
