IMO, there isn't a clear P4P number 1 right now. If I had to go with only one fighter, I'd say Ward.

The bolded above is the major reason why your view of P4P isn't going to get much respect. You don't validate your own views with other peoples views - especially if those views directly contradict your own..
So using your own logic if I feel a fighter wins fights that they officially loss I can say they are #1 cuz I feel they won the fight. That is absolute crap. Judges decide a fight we dont. Can beat a drum all day but it does not change the result. Either way even with one loss Ward has still done more than Loma and has faced the better competition.

If you don't want to use your own brain, then you don't have to. Stay with the official decisions. Its an excuse not to think though, often convenient in this sport.

I don't disagree with your assessment re Ward/Loma, though I feel your logic is deeply flawed

Naoya Inoue beats him, has the attributes and mean streak to do so

Totally agree with this article. The eye test isn't enough, resume matters.

There isn't a clear P4P #1 right now. All the guys in the discussion have at least one flaw in their CV: Strength of competition, very debatable decision in their most recent win/loss, etc.

He's very very good and definitely one of the best fighters, but to say he's the best I can't do that right now, need some more fights with top top tier fighters

Walters, Russell jr, Martinez, and Salido(l) are much stiffer competition relatively
                      Versus Jacob's, Brooks(ww),Lemieux

And Golovkin is already planning his next two fights against people he'll be heavily favored to not only beat but beat easily. He should rematch jabcob and remove all doubt and then he can be #1. But he doesn't care about that. He cares about belts.

                      1. Ward
                      2. Lomachenko
