Comments Thread For: Is Lomachenko The Best Pound-for-Pound Fighter in Boxing?

By Andreas Hale - Once again, Vasyl Lomachenko made his opponent look like a novice in the ring. And, once again, the talk about Lomachenko being the best pound for pound fighter in all of boxing has bubbled to the surface. But is this talk premature given the lack of fights on Lomachenko's resume and the fact that he does have a loss on his record?...

He has the potential. He's my favourite fighter to watch.. He's a master in the ring and his skills can only be appreciated. Yet salty ones hate.

I am Loma´s countryman but looking from a neutral point of view then he is one of the best right now BUT to become THE best he has to at least unify the 135 division.

Back to back? Funny how you exclude the Walters fight which happened between those two you named

Probably because Garcia looked like crap against Peterson and should have lost to Herrera. Porter also has no big wins himself. Both are good wins, and I think Thurman deserves credit but no way in hell is he in the top 5, or even 8 IMO.

He decimated GR Jr and Walters as well. Stings a bit, I know but it's only until you accept the fact that Lomachenko = number 1.

lol People need to remember Arum was doing this hyping #1 P4P **** for Mikey Garcia before this. Lomachenko is getting this treatment only because Arum lost Garcia. He's just his replacement. And the replacement is never as good as the original genuine article. If they fight, Garcia will prove this.

He is well on his way but Ward is #1 I feel that he lost to Kovalev but he has the the victory where it counts. Loma is hot right now and is being shoved to the front of the line. Ward has accomplished more as a pro fighting top notch opponents for years now and that is just a fact. I am not a fan of his but it's the truth.
