ward vs. kovalev was november 19. these g strings and haters demanded the rematch take place November 20.. and everyday after ward was torched to make it happen. now lil g barely squeaks by jacobs and they dont wanna see him again until 7 fights later. lol. the worst fanbase in boxing hands down. this is why lil g never takes risks he gets a pass for sht like this. floyd took a risk giving castillo and maidana immediate rematches. ward could've retired. now its lil g turn to clean up controversy and he dont want none. probably wants to give dominic wade a rematch instead.

I am NOT going to come in here and pile on the Lil g fanboys who have NO explanation for this given their documented attitude towards other fighters involved in close matches.

I will say this tho.

Lil g not fighting Jacobs again immediately...well, it sounds a little Amir Khanish (after he got his meat loafed by Prescott).

And if you are one of those folks who still holler about an aged Lennox Lewis retiring instead of giving Vitali another shot, you need to think on that before commenting here.

I understand big money fights.

Lil g is not going to get the same 10M reportedly up for grabs vs Saunders fighting Jacobs.

Lil g is not going to get Canelo money rematching Jacobs.

But, hyped the right way a rematch is probably one of the most lucrative things Lil g can do right now.

A lot of folks thought he lost to Danny. Those folks want to see a rematch and will buy tickets and maybe even PPVs.

Ironically, Jacobs might be his only Canelo free option to real PPV stardon.

And it's the 3rd option at best, not "5 or 6 down the road, if ever".

Whether you believe GGG won or lost it's smarter to rematch Jacobs later. GGG options are Ramirez, Canelo, Saunders and Degale. All of which will get him way more money than fighting Jacobs again. GGG can fight Jacobs later because Jacobs will eventually move to SMW anyway.
