The ones constantly claiming racism are the self aggrieved idiots. yeah I am offensive because I ask for Ward and his fans to produce evidence that his career has been victimized by racism.

If Ward cared so much about racism then why does he not follow Ali's example and use his celebrity and wealth to help the less fortunate victims of real racism?

He won't do it because there is nothing in it for him. No money to make off of helping the less fortunate.

I would say he's so concerned with it? I think this is the first time I've heard him talk on the subject and he basically says that he likes to reserve judgement because ultimately he doesn't know what other people a thinking.

That doesn't sound like someone who is 'so concerned' to me.

A tactful and diplomatic reply from Dre - I may not be a particular fan of his style (though I respect his achievements) but I can't really see why anyone would have a problem with what he says here. He's giving his opinion (in a cagey sorta way) but acknowledges he could be wrong. Not much to see here.

His fans are pretty concerned with it in regards to his career

I could give less of a **** if a boxer is white, black, tan,or even neon pink with green stripes. If I like your style of fighting, then consider me a fan. Hell,I'm Cuban American, and far closer to wards skin tone that kovalevs, yet I side with the krusher because he has a fan friendly style. To say that a fan should support a fighter solely based off of their nationality is ****** to say the least.

Ward just need to tell the reporters that he doesn't know how to answer racialized questions. Also, that he doesn't consider himself black. This dude makes me cringe everytime he's answered a racialized question.

If it is "blatant" how can you not see evidence? What more do you need than "blatant"?

This is a dude, who for so long, thought he was with the "in crowd" and got thrown out when somebody whiter came along. Ward himself used to talk crap about black fighters when was commentating on hbo, and one of the main reason I was never a fan of his. Now dude is at the receiving end, and doesn't know what to do, because he would come off as being a hypocrite.

He actually said he does not consider himself black?? Wow!
I guess he is like *****. That is one reason I did not like ***** because he considered himself more white than anything. He did 0 to help ********** especially blacks. And if anyone had ever read on the issue of Jack Johnson's family trying to get him a posthumous pardon then your opinion of ***** would change (not for the good). If somethings Ward said made you cringe then some of the things ***** and Holder said regarding the Johnson pardon would make u cringe too. BTW the countries 1st black president and 1st black AG refused to give Jack Johnson a much deserved posthumous pardon.

Have African Americans been historically abused and treated unfairly, and plainly treated less than human. Yes, but it seems like you don't think any other peoples deserve your sympathy other than blacks. Do blacks deserve some sort of compensation due to centuries of wrong. Yes, they do, but not individual compensation of money being handed out. Investment in communities, schools, better jobs, healthcare. That is the only way to lift the entire African American community out of the situation that centuries of racism has produced. Do blacks have every right to be pissed off about it yes. Like LBJ said," What did you expect? I don’t know why we’re so surprised. When you put your foot on a man’s neck and hold him down for three hundred years, and then you let him up, what’s he going to do? He’s going to knock your block off."
My point is there's a difference between the way a largely white boxing community looks at a white boxer and the way they look at a black boxer. You went into history so I went along but my point is simple.

The fact that you try and categorize an opinion shared by many across races as "these guys" and "Ward fans" exemplifies your position of denial. You state that Ward is crying racism when in fact he states that he works to make sure he doesn't ignorantly claim race as an issue as you have done in your posts. There are biases in boxing. That's an immutable fact.
