Ok, so Saunders actually does want the fight or so he says. Problem is Golovkin is in an awkward position where he has to fight one or the other. He's been waiting to fight Canelo for two years now and stands to make more money doing so. Not only is the fight worth more money, but Canelo is also considered the better opponent which would be more beneficial to Golovkin's legacy. If he fights Saunders, the Canelo fight might be delayed until who the hell knows when. I guess you can argue that Golovkin is "ducking" Saunders but its just an iffy set of circumstances.

He's been waiting for Canelo for two years and he's been waiting to become undisputed his whole life according to him. Canelo is not fighting GGG in September. They gave Lemieux that showcase fight as the co-main event to set up a September fight if Canelo gets past Chavez Jr. Even if he gets past Chavez Jr and it's a close fight they'll do it again in September. The way Oscar has strung GGG along it's ****** for them to wait Canelo out.

Yuppers, GGG ducked BJS to cherry pick Jacobs & Canelo. Because everyone knows a strap matters way more than taking on the best fighters.

            But WAIT There's more.

GGG is also ducking Eubanks Jr., Lara and the Monroe Jr. rematch.

to everyone in the boxing world, a Canelo fight is many times more significant than a BJS fight.

Canelo is lineal at MW, a p4p fighter >>> BJS

If you are trying to argue that a BJS fight is more significant, or a harder challenge, I'd like to hear that ******ed argument..... didn't think so

The one valid criticism of GGG is that he's fought a bunch of good fighters, but nobody above that level.

Now you are criticizing him for trying to fight a P4P fighter, and say he should fight a B level fighter instead

Here is BJS asking Tom when is he going to send the contract a week before the GGG-Jacobs fight.

Frank Warren said the delay was because he's being told GGG is injured. Abel Sanchez then said GGG isn't injured "per se". Then he said GGG is "sore". But two days ago Sanchez said he wants GGG to fight in June or July and fight 3 times a year. So he's really not injured to the point he can't fight in June or July

The Canelo fight almost slipped thru their fingers with the Jacobs fight and it seems they've said they aren't going to take anymore chances and risk losing that Canelo fight. So if a fighter decides not to take a risk and go for the money fight shouldn't that be considered a duck? Especially when said fighter and his team have been saying the goal to become the undisputed MW champion. They finally got BJS signed, sealed, and delivered and they're backing away from it after a close fight with Jacobs. They don't want to risk losing that Canelo fight. If this isn't a duck please explain to me what it is.

Golovkin is a 35 year old fighter, who hasn't made massive money so far and whose time is almost up. He and his camp see that Alvarez is dangling a $10m+ check and they're trying not to see that payday vanish.

Billy Joe Saunders was supposed to be the head fake, after the supposed easy Daniel Jacobs fight, and BJS didn't go along with the show.

That's another thing... I can't imagine Canelo would've been ready in time. Oscar really screwed this thing up, the fight should've happened already.

What does Canelo have to do with LLL claiming the WBO? Wasn't collecting all the belts a priority? How did ggg fans forget this? Amnesia?
