During a pre-show of that fight when they were talking bout how Tito would be wearing a 10 ounce gloves instead of an 8 ounce gloves. He was asked if that would neutralize Tito's power .
He answered in this exact words. " I think gloves definitely has an effect on a punching power".

    Steward is a liar.
good job brother. Manny Stewart got Pwned. This guy sucks plain and simple. He discredits those slugging types of fighters. He's a ****y acting know it all, but once he gets caught he's still try to save face.

A Barrera who had gone through three wars vs. Morales and had been stopped by Pacquiao tasted Rocky's vaunted power twice early in the fight. He was staggered by the first and rocked a tad by the second; he did not fall. Rather, past the mid-rounds he engaged Rocky and in some sequences had Juarez stepping back.

Now, how many times was it that Pacquiao dropped (both the ones called and not called by the ref) a MAB who had not visited the canvass for quite a time?

Edit: I cast my vote erroneously, having mis-read the question. I should have voted, "Yes". Stewart is wrong.

honestly, i couldn't tell who's the better puncher of the two. but if ko percentage won't be a factor in determining that, i don't know where did steward based his comment that juarez, indeed, hits harder than pac?

Pacquiao has not had a points victory since September 1997 (close to 9 years ago), when he outpointed Melvin Magramo in Cebu, in The Philippines. The times he failed to stop his opponents since then, he either lost or was held to a draw. His other points wins on his record were racked up when he was jus starting out. At the onset of his career, he registered three consecutive UDs before pummelling Dele Desierto to submission (Desierto turned his back on Pacquiao and plaintively looked at the ref, asking that the contest be stopped). Manny did not get to display his one punch power until his sixth fight (vs. Armando Rocil) and, although he TKOd many of his subsequent opponents, did not get to display that power again until 11 and 12 fights later when he dispatched Mike Luna and Wo Kee Li in the first round. Another first round victim was the, then,Thai prospect Chokchai Chokvivat whom he met before outscoring the above-mentioned Magramo. Also bowing to Pac in the very first round were Panomdej Ohyuthanakorn (Thai), Shin Terao (Japanese), the until then undefeated Korean Seung Kon Chae (23-0-0) and Fahpakorb Rakkiatgym (Thai). Rakkiatgym lost by UD to Brazilian dirty fighter Valdemir Pereira in a featherweight title bid last January. Pereira has since lost the IBF Featherweight crown to Erik Aiken by DQ. Pereira was also deducted a point in the Rakkiatgym fight.

The former Bantamweight champ (WBO and WBA at different times) Elicier Julio barely passed the first minute of the second round against Pacquiao. Julio had gone the full route in losing to Junior Jones and Johnny Tapia--opponents with contrasting styles.

I basically think Stewart don't know what he's talking about. That or he's in love with Juarez or likes discrediting Pac all the time.

              Pls vote and discuss.
He misled himself. He first said that Juarez hits harder than PAC,then Jim asked him how.Stewart then when on and said that he has more variety in punching. So, I don't know what he was trying to say.

Pac may not be as big a puncher as Juarez but he is more effective. Juarez has a punchers chance against his opponents. Pacs overall agressiveness is overwhelming to most. If I had to choose a boxing style it certainly would be Pacs relentless atack other than Juarez once-in-a-while power left hook.

I think Steward was right about that.Eventhough I think PAC won that fight. What steward was saying in the marquez fight, that PAC could not see the counter right Marquez he was throwing.

Pac never fought anybody in their prime. After the fight, they all claimed they were 'shot'.
