Canelo is the biggest fight of his career and the one he's been wanting for a long time, and I don't think you'll find an honest soul who feels he's an 'easier' opponent than Saunders (a guy who has admitted more than once before that he would lose horribly to GGG) would be. He can always decide to finish unifying the belts later. He doesn't have to do things in the exact order or way you want him to. You're just a hater desperately searching for any little thing you can to hold against him so you can feel vindicated in your hate.

Two weeks ago he said Saunders was his dream fight. His stated goal has been to become undisputed MW champion. Now he has the chance, Saunders has agreed to all the terms. Why is he passing on his dream fight and good lifelong goal?

Would Canelo not be a bigger and better way of building a legacy? He's a better fighter, a bigger name (meaning defeating him would draw a whole lot more eyeballs onto GGG for the foreseeable future), and unifying belts can always wait till later. Also, Oscar told GGG that if he fought in June, then any chance of the September clash with Alvarez wouldn't occur. So he's taking his chances that Oscar is being genuine.
