He's not fighting Canelo in September. He has mandatory fights to fulfill since he isn't fighting Saunders for a unification. Saunders has been ordered by the WBO to fight two consecutive mandatory fights. You think Saunders is gonna put his career on hold and risk being stripped waiting on GGG again? What if Chavez Jr wins? What if Canelo exercises his mandatory shot against Saunders? You don't get many opportunities like this where everything lines up perfectly.
