I don't have a problem with a fighter trying to get paid as much as they can. They risk their lives everytime they step in the ring. But don't claim you want all the belts when you're really using that as an excuse not to take tough challenges.
GGG finally had one tough fight and suddenly he doesn't want all the belts, he doesn't want the legacy of being undisputed, he doesn't want to fight 3-4 times a year. He doesn't want to take any risks and he wants to cash out. Like I said in another thread, the MW division is finally getting hot and GGG wants to move up now that the best fighter at 168 is gone and Ward isn't coming back down to 168.
This is why he was content biding his time fighting bum after bum and allowing Cotto and Canelo to fight other fighters instead of having them stripped. This is why the immediately killed the Jacobs rematch talk even though it was a very close fight. If that fight was between any other two fighters the media would be calling for a rematch. But the media is complicit in this scam and said he should move onto Saunders to unify and Canelo in September.
GGG doesn't deserve a Canelo fight after pulling this B.S. Oscar shouldn't allow GGG to get any shine off Canelo name. Canelo is 25 with one of the best resumes in the sport and has worked hard and took on challenges to get to where he is. GGG has done nothing to earn a fight with Canelo. If I was Canelo I would tell him "You claimed you wanted all the belts and you were gonna fight Saunders instead of giving Jacobs a rematch he deserves. Since you aren't fighting Saunders go fight Jacobs again since you're trying to pull this scam and build your name off of mine without taking risks. It don't work like that."
This GGG experiment has been one of the biggest scams ever pulled on boxing fans (Gonzalez being #1 p4p is another scam pulled on boxing fans but I'll save that rant for another day). Andre Ward told Loeffler stop lying to the fans. Gabe Rosado told ya'll GGG and his team has the fans fooled. Benard Hopkins said eventually the fake will be exposed. Well today is that day for most of ya'll. Some of us have seen it from the beginning but we were called haters and racist. Apology accepted.
