lol whut???One of my heroes El Terrible did something pretty disgusting in taking pictures of himself while standing over his fallen opponent. I'd heard the guy had seriously pi$$ed him off before the fight, but it was still pretty bad to watch. I thought, 'Man, you just beat his a$$ in the ring. Let it go.'
Morales did that? I either forgot or never even knew about that. Could you link a vid by chance? Not that I don't believe you, I just have to witness this disgusting act myslef, lol.

Thx for the vid, it's pretty much exactly as I pictured, based on your description. lol, I can only laugh because it's so ugly and ridiculous. Including the jackal cry from his teammate.
George summed it up perfectly; "That's terrible..."

Leonard was winning, but he wasn't dominating on the cards when Duran quit. That fight's outcome was still in doubt, unlike the Lomachenko/Sosa fight in the 6th. Which is only to say that I think it can be a valuable psychological tool in breaking another fighter's will. There are a lot of mind games that are played in the lead-up to a fight, why not during the fight as well?Comment

Yes it was and I'm a big "El Terrible" fan, but sometimes a guy just goes too far. I wonder if he's got that pic up in his living room. His kid might say, "Dang, Dad. That was wrong of you." Haha.Comment

According to the movie Hands of Stone, and yes I realize it's just a movie, Duran was in a very down place at the time and everything that night was getting in his head and of course, Leonard's antics didn't help. I thought he was making a mockery of things, but I can't have it both ways. Leonard used it as a psychological tool and it obviously worked. Crazy though, since it was close on the cards at the time. I still wonder if Duran was afraid he'd crap his pants in front of the world, which, if that's the case, I'm quitting too. Haha. But yes, the taunts and everything do get inside a guy's head. If he's beaten mentally, he's beaten all the way around.Leonard was winning, but he wasn't dominating on the cards when Duran quit. I think Donaire did the matador thing forgot against who thoughYes I generally don't either. Maidana's was epic revenge. I just think Loma is creative with it. I don't see people doing it the way he does. Usually guys dance around or taunt in the same old ways but I thought the matador thing was different as was the stop with Walters. Never seen anyone do that except for when Whitaker would pause sometimes. It's like watching a movie or a show where there's a fight scene which you've seen a hundred times but in this particular one, they do something different to really catch your attention. I'm sure any casual watching the fight would say, "What the hell was that?" Haha. That can lead to talk at the water cooler possibly which could be good for the sport.Comment
