What's next for the winner of Ward-Kovalev II?

I want to see the winner fight Beterbiev who will be the IBF mandatory. But I doubt either fighter will face him. I think Ward is looking for a bigger fight than the IBF mandatory. If the GGG fight is really a possibility at 168 I see him taking that fight. Or moving down to 168 to face DeGale or even bringing Froch out of retirement. I just don't see Ward taking that fight.

No way in hell Main Events is going to let Kovalev fight Beterbiev. They'll call a purse bid and lose it like they always do and pull out because they won't allow Kovalev to fight off HBO. Badou Jack would be a good fight but I don't see HBO spending the money it takes to make this fight without PPV. I don't think it'll take a lot of money but they won't pay it.

If its Ward the plan is to rush to twitter & talk about retirement & how Beterbiev or Adonis aren't on his level & don't deserve to fight him. Then he'll sign to fight some random top 10 guy no one's heard of or barely heard of & then get mad at the media when no one cares about his next fight.

That's negotiating tactics. Every time you acknowledge those guys you give them leverage. Like Timothy Bradley said. Don't call these guys out. Make them call you out so you can say "if you want to fight me, this is what you get"

Kovalev vs jack or adonis would be their route knowing kov will eadily beat badou jack with the size, skill, and power gap between the two guys. And then an adonis stevenson clash becoming am undisputed champion securing himself in the hall of fame.

Stevenson or Beterbiev fight. Don't think it would be very smart of Ward to move down a full weight class.

Not interested in a trilogy, whether the rematch is either a draw or Kov wins. Sick of this fight. They should move on and stop wasting their time and fight other more meaningful fights.

I don't care who he talks about or doesn't talk about if he fights non-bs opponents.

Thats just not the future I foresee with Ward doe. He'll downplay the challenging fights (names mentioned or not), call out smaller guys (GGG & Ramirez probably) & then end up fighting a completely bs opponent (looking at the rankings I'll guess a guy like Trent Broadhurst will be on the table). And if he was more popular that might work great like it does for other guys, but since he doesn't really have much of a fanbase outside of a 5 mile radius around his residence its an unrealistic expectation for him at present time

                  Beterbeast or chickenson ideally.

Likely would be someone like Smith though..
