The Best Comparison Of Kov/Ward is Actually Tyson/Holyfield

I'm not biased. I always tell it like it is.

I love Kov's style.... but the fact that he becomes a deer in headlights in close range is going to lose him this fight again. Especially with Ward/Roc Nation ironing out the small details as Kathy Duva stated. meaning Ward's ref and judges.

They had a feeling out process in the first fight and Kovalev had to get Ward out of there. The problem is Ward knows his entry angles now and he knows for a fact like I do that Kovalev has a bad gas tank. So Ward will do everything he can to extend this fight into the 2nd half.

Kovalev's inside game is also abysmal. He does not have any inside hooks to the body or uppercuts. None. He would have Ward leaning on the ropes and he'd just hop back to reset.

So it's going to be another night of frustrating affair for Kovalev.

All he has is a puncher's chance. ded ***en srs

He doesn't have a puncher's chance. Because he doesn't even have one punch knockout power like Adonis, he has to land combinations to hurt his opponents and it's almost impossible to do that against Ward

I've said before the first fight that Stevenson has better chances against Ward only because of that

      at least you're admitting it.

i remember all the ward fans bigging Kov's punching power p4p when he doesn't have a single 1 punch KO

is it not a fact GGG demonstrated better defense against a better/bigger opponent in Jacobs at similar stages in their careers?

Jacobs > Maidana. Athleticism wise and skill wise.

Also GGG demonstrated better defense moving forward without giving up ring generalship nor any illegal tactics like holding.

I think it's closer to Alien vs. Predator 2 tbh.

Didnt TMT choose Kenny Bayless in the Maidana rematch? Or did they just refuse Tony Weeks?? I dont recall but I am sure the A sides team has some say.

Also GBP uses Russel Mora as a ref a lot and that dude is bias as hell.

If you actually watch Adonis' fights you would see he staggers and hurts his opponents with several other shots before putting them down. Stevenson would not be able to put ward down in one shot...See the fonfara and thomas williams Jr fight, it took Adonis A lot of punches to hurt those guys. I think Kov is just as powerful, maybe in a different way.
