PBC on FS1 card last week drew 218k for a actual live card. This drew 219k for a replay on ESPN2. Golden Boy cards have a significantly smaller budget as well.

WTF is ESPN 3? That's like Fox Sports 2. Nobody has that and I'm not about to break my neck looking for ESPN 3 to watch Orosczo vs. Gibson. The NCAA tournament schedule is made at least a year in advance. They knew that was coming on before they scheduled the card. They saw PBC make these same type of mistakes and they're repeating themThey tape delayed the fight on ESPN2 and aired it live on Live stream on ESPN3. So that rating is for anyone who watched the replay after already knowing the results. Golden boy and even Dan Rafael live tweeted and advertised fans to watch live on ESPN3.
They tape delayed to try and avoid the NCAA Final Four which aired the same time. It would be interesting to find out what the numbers were for the live broadcast on ESPN3 but I don't think ESPN releases those figures. Need to wait till ESPN airs it's next fight to see how it compares to the first card this fight basically being a replay of a fight makes it hard to compare to the Quigley card which was actually a live sporting event.Comment

ESPN3 is their live stream channel you access on their APP or through Roku, streaming device, website etc. It's not an actual cable channel like FS2. I agree they should of just kept it live on ESPN2 despite the tournament I can't describe how much I hate tape delay for sporting events. But they streamed it live so that's how I watched it. HBO/Showtime does tape delay particularly for overseas fights but they still offer an option to watch it live in the afternoon and the replay/tape delay later that night. ESPN decided to only offer the tape delay on ESPN2.WTF is ESPN 3? That's like Fox Sports 2. Nobody has that and I'm not about to break my neck looking for ESPN 3 to watch Orosczo vs. Gibson. Yeah if you look at the RBR scoring thread for this fight there were many people confused and others came in at 11pm when the replay started and were upset because they spoiled the results. There were even people pi ssed at Dan Rafael for live tweeting his in fight updates again spoiling results if you wanted to watch the fight on ESPN2 later that night.Comment

Well I was 1 of those viewers. I enjoyed The Card, regardless. Bummed that I was out of town and missed Edner Cherry, Omar Douglas on Fox 1.Comment

Fortunately I wasn't on the computer, messing with the internet before the ESPN broadcast came on, so I didnt Know the results. In fact, I thought It was live, until I came into this forum later. But I didnt do that until after I saw The Fight, so no harm no foul. For me, anyway, it was "live".Yeah if you look at the RBR scoring thread for this fight there were many people confused and others came in at 11pm when the replay started and were upset because they spoiled the results. I hear you. When I have something going on and can't catch a fight live so DVR it I have to go full blackout mode. Fall off the grid. But its very hard in 2017 with social media, websites, phone updates, ect. Just a few years ago I would intentionally DVR football games just to fast forward commercials and say time. Can't even do that anymore because so hard to not accidently get something spoiled by Facebook or something online.Comment
