Why are people questioning his numbers now?

Look at the this 2014 Glaser/Mayweather-Maidana thread.

The usual suspects are in there. Like i've said before, I don't flip flop, i've called you, szef and natas good GGG fans and you see szef and natas in that thread not caring about the ppv numbers but you can see the rest of the 30 usual GGG fans in there gloating.

Talk about anything boxing related here. Where the boxing discussion is always Non Stop!

If you get insulted when people call out GGG fans, you shouldn't, everyone knows you're one of the good one's. You shouldn't feel like GGG fans speak for you, you speak for yourself. When I see people lumping all Floyd fans together because of something ****** they keep saying as a collective fanbase, that I don't agree with, I just ignore it or just say I don't agree with it. Like for example the new "GGG wants to go up to 168 to duck new 160 fighters". I called it ****** immediately and separated my thoughts from the anti-GGG fans and left it at that.
      Great post.

For the record I always question Rick Glaser's numbers, then and now.

But if people gloated about them when it came to Floyd then it's only fair that they take **** for them when it's GGG's turn.

I honestly looked through each post on the first 15 pages of the thread. The closest I saw to gloating was Deranged saying "not surprising" and Redcyclone gloating. I did not recognize a single other Golovkin fan in there. A couple people said "If true,...". There were a ton of Pac fights who were gloating. I did not recognize any of them as 'new GGG fans'.

I don't get insulted by any of that, I get annoyed with all the generalizations on NSB.

LOL. Never seen a sport where its fans are rooting for it to fail in the PPV or ratings. It's not even a fight between Salka or Garcia, it's a mandated fight between the #1 and #2 in the division, and it turned out to be what normal fans expected. It was a close competitive fight.

So the idea of a low number is to use it in forum arguments that the guy they hate so much doesn't deseve to get paid well. What a ****** sport full of fanatical phonies.

Canelo offered him 15 mill and lil g turned it down because he thinks he's the a-side. This fight should've happened and would've happened if lil g didn't duck.
G doesnt think he's the A side. Cmon now, dont lie. He never said that once!

Without eachother, neither makes anything close to what theyre currently making, in fact, itll probably be the most either would make period!

Imo G is the best opponent Alvarez will face in his career not named Floyd Mayweather Jr. G is and has been the man at 160lbs period.

The argument that he beat the man (Cotto) makes him the best is bs imo. Its like saying Stevenson is the man at 175lbs. We all know that aint true. But nice try tho!

When did fans become fans of a, b and c sides? Yall got it phucked up! You should be more worried of why your fighters arent fighting other good/great fighters and securing legacy and legendary staus instead of who gets what.........kids these days

Glasser strikes me as a guy that just wants attention. If those are the real numbers, what exactly does he get out of revealing them? Iirc, didn't he threaten to reveal the numbers if they didn't release them or something?

The sad thing is, people are so gullible, they'll believe any piece of "news".

Who needs sources when you've got narratives instead?

Every scrub in the industry is getting information from his mailman's dog's vet who is twice removed from a guy who cleans the floors down the road from one of the promoter's offsite locations. Or being hand-fed the information from a camp's PR firm.
