He wouldn't be undisputed because Canelo is still lineal champ and many feel he lost to Jacobs. But even Loeffler said fighting Canelo in sept is their priority and the biggest fight for them. Loeffler said this is fight that would NOT interfere with Canelo in sept. Now with this joke fight that nobody wants (everyone wants either canelo or Jacobs rematch not paper champ Saunders) is taking priority OVER canelo. If the fight really is in July they are choosing to take this fight INSTEAD of canelo completely taking themselves out of consideration for Canelo's next opponent.

Schaefer said it best this is BS and if you want to just fight saunders then say that don't try and take another fight before hand and blame it on Golden Boy. GGG turning down offers, pricing themselves out of fights and prioritizing bum fights in kaza phuk stan over Canelo. that's their prerogative just don't scream you being ducked.

would a July date interfere with a hypothetical Sept date? Of course the answer is yes. But thats only if, and thats a big IF, you actually believe the Sept date is real. Most people capable of critical thinking do not believe the Sept date is real, because if Canelo were to lose, get injured again, or if its a good fight and does well at the box office there would be a rematch, so the Sept date is really just a carrot on a stick, and GGG would be a damn fool to sit around and wait to see what happens.

The move that is in GGGs best interests is to try and get his long sought after unification fight with Saunders, and THEN if theres a way to make a Canelo fight then fine, go for it. But to keep waiting and waiting while each time there is a new excuse from GBP, well its just ******ed.....

So then you admit Loeffler lied because that's not what he said he said we are taking this fight BECAUSE it doesn't interfere with a Canelo fight in Sept. His own words. Or course there is a risk waiting 1 month and seeing the results of Canelo/Chavez. That's always the case in boxing. Saunders had an agreement with GGG long before Jacobs fight with the understanding once the fight is over we sign the contracts. How is that playing out for Saunders now that GGG is the one bullshyting and putting them in limbo waiting? So it's ok and part of the business when GGG does it because GGG doesn't have to wait for Canelo to wrap up things with Chavez first? SMH

i agree Saunders is a paper champ keeping a belt hostage. similar to Stevenson. but what can you do? you have to drag fckers like that in the ring kicking and screaming and take their belt. ggg is in absolutely no danger against saunders which shows how full of sht oscar is saying he doesn't want ggg to get hurt or lose. canelo has a better chance suffering injury against chavez with that caveman chin of his. if he was truly concerned about injuries why not cancel the chavez fight and go straight into a promotion with ggg?

besides fighters can also get hurt or injured in training camp. so what is oscar gonna say ggg is not allowed to spar while preparing for canelo?

I dont concede that point because there is no official confirmation that #1 the Saunders fight is made, and #2 that it got moved from June to July.

If the fight is in June, there is NO CONFLICT with the canelo fight, regardless of whatever nonsense Oscar babbles on about. If the Saunders date got bumped to July for whatever reason, then GGG / K2 have to choose between the "done deal" fight with Saunders, or the "maybe, possibly, depending on what happens in May" possible fight with Canelo.

I know which one I would choose if I were him.
