One fanbase doesn't mind their fighter defeating low quality or irrelevant guys as long as he wins .they also have much lower boxing IQ . This is the Wilder fanbase !

The other base likes quality boxing skills , and a guy that actually goes after the top guys that are there and who are relevant . These fans understand boxing and know they are rooting for a guy that WANTS to improve with every fight even though hes already the most well rounded HW now .

Every fighter needs a fanbase ,in this case one is just not as logical or truthful !

          Wilder hype job

Wilder has been a hype job from the very beggining and has continued to fight D level competition his entire career with the rare C class fighter like Stiverne.

The usa hasnt had a true HW champion that is the real HW champion since Hasim Rahman knocked out Lennox Lewis 18 years ago.

Wilder fights in Alabama because he cant sell anywhere else. The bums he has been fighting rank as the 5 worst opponents for a HW titlest in boxing history. Thats a fact.

Haymon truly a scourge to boxing trying to sucker a very dumb fanbase.

Good article!!Aj is already known world wide and is the present and future of the Hw division. Wilder will continue to fight tomato cans in a college campus arena in Hicksville Alabama waiting to cash out against Aj.

Wilder is quite well known in the UK now, but in his own country, nobody knows who the **** he is, outside of his home town.

That says more about the relative interest and profile of boxing in the UK compared to the USA than it says about Wilder's marketability, imo.

Wilder is just terrible, I mean awful and he knows he is holding the belt hostage.

They should fight each other asap.
                  Holding it hostage from who?

Povetkin? The guy who ducked him twice and then tested took drugs to avoid the fight completely?

Glazkov? The guy who pulled out of negotiations so that he can fight for a vacant title against Martins?

Parker? The guy who pulled out of negotiations and decided all of a sudden that he wants the winner of Klitschko/Joshua?

Fury? The guy who called out Wilder and then went to the psych ward for mental illness when Wilder to avoid a Klitschko rematch?

Ortiz? The guy who keeps calling out everyone but aint never tried to become anyone's mandatory? The guy who wanted to fight against an injured Wilder on one month's notice (to avoid drug testing)?

Joshua? The guy who is going after every single belt except for the WBC?

Who exactly is he holding the belt hostage from?

Birmingham is probably bigger and more populated than where most of you live. Birmingham is a pretty nice sized metropolitan city. With just about every restaurant, hotel, etc, that you'd expect in a big city. Just because it's Down South doesn't mean its "Hickville."
