Agreed. It is nice to see Chavez showing some discipline for a change. I wouldn't be concerned about him making 168lb, but maybe he overestimated his ability to drop all the way down to 164.

So the same man who hasn't knocked out or dropped anyone since 2012 and struggled to even hurt journey men and bums like Vera, reyes, and britsch is going to knockout canelo? All this pic tells me is memo is doing his job giving him that special *juice* to make weight. Which is great news. But once he's in the ring canelo is going to light this slow, no defense, non skilled Chavez up. It will look like canelo/angulo until Chavez quits on his stool...again.

I'm not impressed. Sure he's showing some discipline but again, as I said before, Chavez is a slow plodding heavy bag for Canelo to punch all night.

Easy work for Canelo. Chavez will come to him (which is Chavez' style) which works best for Canelo as he prefers his opponent to come to him.

Jr does have a chance to win....it's not like he's fighting Julian Jackson or Marvin Hagler.

Canelito is not all that....never has been...never will be.

              Chavez does stand a chance.

You act as if 5'7 Canelo is some great force...some insurmountable foe.He is not.

Lil Floyd walked his ass down.

Lil Floyd had Cotto hurt more than Alvarez did.

No he didn't Floyd out boxed canelo never hurt him the slightest. And styles make fights cotto busted up Floyd nose and that fight was close while canelo easily beat cotto and face didn't look like floyds afterward.

Does that mean canelo is better then floyd? SMH

As for Chavez he is not undefeated one of the greatest defensive wizards the game has seen and doesn't have lightning reflexes and speed like Floyd. When he does I will be worried about this fight. Until then he does literally opposite of what Floyd does and is tailor made for canelo style. He is too slow will come forward walking into hard counters and combos until he quits.

For someone of Jr's skill level he is an insurmountable opponent.

The time to start taking this shyt seriously was back when he was moving furniture around in his mansion to train for Maravilla instead getting off his lazy ass and going to the gym with Roach.

There is a reason 5'7 Canelo won't go near anybody dangerous at 154.

He didn't even go near K-9 when Bundrage had a title.

Lil bitty ass Floyd put Canelito on the ropes whenever he felt like it.

Canelo cannot hold the center of the ring to save his life..

He tries too hard....loading up with everything he throws...gets tired...then tries to get slick.

He's really a mess as a fighter...that's the reason he's so carefully matched.
