Most promoters feel the risk is not worth the reward with the aging ortiz. It's sad because the guy has some really good skills! I have never been a fan of haymon for specific reasons but i think a guy like ortiz who falls into a situation like this where most big time promoters want nothing to do with you is where haymon is good for boxing. We have seen for decades where promoters leave certain fighters hanging out to dry because they lost a fight, doesn't have a big following, or doesn't have the so call fan friendly style. Hopefully ortiz can get more active with competitive fights,

ortiz problem is dade promotions who bumped heads with golden boy until they had enough and agreed to be bought out for millions. Then the manager says they signed with hearn and after a few fights dade promotions comes out talking smack turning down fights and voicing displeasure. And now enter haymon. If dade finally stops meddling and let's haymon do his job this could work out. But my gut says in short time dade will start bumping heads with haymon too.
