Do you know how many losses those guys had, even back in that weak era? Kovalev is better.

Lol, tell me your trolling, right?

What is better about this era and fighters? Is it the fractured titles? The inability to go 12 hard rounds (let alone 15)? Is it the lack of body punching or is it that they only fight 3 times a year?

A lot probably depends on what stage of his career Marciano is in, but I'm guessing Kovalev outboxes him and Marciano eats a ton of shots while stocking him and slows down in the later rounds. Late career Marciano probably gets stopped in the latter rounds while younger Marciano loses a decision

A lot of people think Marciano would've beat Ali. He would probably break down all of today's heavyweights except the bigger guys like Joshua, Wlad, and Wilder. There aren't any light heavyweights alive who would beat him.

Rocky beat Ezzard Charles twice and one in danger of loosing on points but stops Charles.
I like Koval but he does NOTHING better than Charles. So if you want to compare styles and rankings I'll take Rocky to stop Koval. Koval couldn't stop Hopkins who was 76 years old and Marciano has a chin and power that Koval has never seen or felt.

I am not sure about that fight. They have no common opponents to measure them with . Marciano was really great. He was really a light heavyweight and yet he he was the heavyweight champion for many years. He would weigh in at 185 or sometimes less in street clothes, well hydrated and well fed 8 hours before the fight. Heavyweights can weigh whatever they want and Marciano didn't weigh very much. He was certainly no heavier than Kovalev. Marciano had an iron jaw and real power in both hands. He had excellent stamina and threw lots of punches every round. All of his punches were heavy and they hurt even when they landed on the arms and shoulders. Marciano won all his fights and usually by KO. He beat many all time great heavyweights and light heavyweights. As much as I love Kovalev I would favor Marciano to win by KO. He was the best light heavyweight ever to me even though he is thought of as a heavyweight

You are the one who started the thread asking our opinions. You did want honest answers didn't you? Don't correct posters just because they didn't give you an answer that that is the same as your opinion. Kovalev will never fight Marciano so nobody is right or wrong.
