i beleive these alphabet belts are helping the divisions because everybody wants to be world champion , thats what there in the buisiness for , so its good that theres 4 major belts in each wieght division that means we can have 8 major world title fights in each division a year minimum. would you like boxers retiring having ducked 5-10 legit challengers to there 1 belt when these legit challengers could easily go for another version of the title and setup one of the greatest fights a boxer could want , a unification

For me, most credible belts are

WBC
IBF
WBO
WBA

then you have your Ring Belt and IBO and whatever else.

It should be recognized but probably never will be until somebody finds a way to make money from it. I think at this point that Ring's only motive is the betterment of boxing. Their ratings and championship policy are logical and impartial.(In other words, totally out of step with the rest of the sport)

Whether you like it or not it is already being recognized and it's the most highly regarded title in the boxing world. Of course not by all but majority including the fighters themselves believe the ring belt carries higher stature than the any of the alphabet belts.

Proof? These Alphabet Champs and title holders always jump on the gun to get that title.

Even the alphabet boxing governing bodies shows respect for that title. They may not admit it openly that the belt is much more pretigious than their belts but certainly they are supporting it.

Most openly than not, RING BELT HOLDERS gets a crack at the alphabet title holders even if they are not included in the ratings of the ALPHABET BOXING BODIES. Why? And believe or not these ALPHABET governing bodies prays that their Champ captures the ring BELT because it will add up to their organization's credibility not to mention the increase of purse so of course the increase in their sanctioing fees.
