  • Will the Ring Belt ever be Recognized? Please vote

What do you guys think of the Ring Magazine Belt. Should it a legitimate world title. It has better ranking than the alphabet title. However, when someone is defending or fighting for the Ring Belt, the ring belt get no recognition. Its not even announce.

the only way you can move up in the alphabet belt ranking is pay sanctioning fees. Ring ranking dont need any sanctioning fees. You just gotta win fights

Yeah, the alphabet belts are getting pretty confusing even for boxing enthusiaist, imagine how it must be for those who just watch there favorite fighters occasionally. There are linear, interim and regular Championship belts. After the Baldomoir and Judah fiasco, sancitoning fee's and these belts sound more like extorition.

Cause I dont see how there will be a "Ring" magazine title fight next to the "WBC" belt for example.

As soon as the fighters that own the belt hold it in highest regard. The best example of a fighter doing this right now is ANTONIO TARVER. If you'll notice, when he poses with whatever belts he has at the time, he puts that one on his shoulder first. If other ring champions follow Tarver's example, all will be good. In fact, if I'm not mistaken, the Ring Championship is the only title Tarver has right now, and nobody on the planet debates that he is the recognized Light Heavyweight Champion of the world.

I don't think it would be recognized as a world title belt. After all boxing is a business and that's all that the other belts stand for really. They give it to whoever can generate more money or whoever puts up more money.

the politics in boxing is killing the game. the alphabet belt will do whatever in their power to prevent ring belt to be recognized. Common, everybody else charges a fee except for the ring
