I agree but this isn't the days of the macho 70s era of Duran and Hagler. I don't think Ward gives a **** tbh.

He will go there at some point but he should fight Kovalev first. I think he lost the 1st fight but he should win the rematch.

If RJJ and Toney could hold up at Heavy weights it's it sweat for Ward. Klitshcko was blasted away by a non Gold medalist in Saunders.
Ha ha, Ward was struggling with the limited guy he was supposed to dominate in one-sided manner, he barely won by one point on the scorecards, where was that speed against Kovalev who's slower than molasses? And you think that Kovalev would beat Gassiev, Usyk or any other top Cruiserweight? Ward would get murdered at cruiserweight if he can't even dominate slow Kovalev. Americans should forget about these heavy divisions, your best name at cruiserweight is Michael Hunter and he's about to get whooped soon

The fight doesn't make sense, financially and logically. Kovalev has zero chances of winning and the rematch won't be profitable, there's no reasons for this fight to happen again

Kova got speed pressing forward and he can double time on jabs pressing forward. Kovalev got the fastest footwork of any lanky boxer atm. When he shadow boxes he moves swiftly like a floating mantiss

Ward would be outsized a lot at Cruiserweight, Usyk is 3-4 inches taller, 25+lbs heavier and has a 7 inch reach advantage. Don't see ward dealing with the power too well either. At heavyweight he dies

Usyk would be too fast for Kovalev if Kovalev was fighting at cruiserweight. He can hit Kovalev with a punch, then get out of the ring to give a long ass interview, get back in the ring and punch Kovalev again and Kov would be thinking it was 1-2 combination
