When someone gets taken to school I think Hopkins vs Pavlik or Floyd vs Marquez or even Golovkin vs Lemieux..... not Ward vs Kovalev and not Pac vs Marquez, hell not even Floyd vs Pac, even though Floyd clearly won.

For some of you winning the fight is taking the other guy to school and it's laughable. Learn what that term really means and when it should be used.
Ok, so what you call Marquez proving it's going to take more than that to win the fight? For what Marquez did, is that a common occurrence? Marquez took ole boy to school!

When a guy gets knocked down 3 times in one round that's just luck! That's why its best to make four more bouts to swerve off the doubt from round 1!

Marquez got dropped three times in the first and then proceeded to school Pacquiao for most of the 11 remaining rounds.

Ward lost not just the first round but the first half of the fight, and then he definitely didn't school Kovalev the rest of the way.

If Marquez wins every round from round 3 he wins the fight 115-110. So actually it was very possible for him to get the decision. If he lost another 2 rounds (4 in total) he still wins the fight 113-112.

So he doesn't need to win every round, and he certainly doesn't need to fight the perfect fight, but he would need to fight the fight of his life to put himself in contention, which he did, and it is certainly possible that he won 8 rounds.

Maybe it is you who doesn't know how to score. Also - you need to go back to school.

                  THANK YOU

Nowadays all you gotta do is win the fight, and these motherf**kers say dude who lost "got taken to school"

Getting taken to school means a fighter getting whitewashed

Then again what else would I expect from the majority of boxing "fans"

These are the same motherf**kers who call world champions with 32-1 records "bums"

Taken to school is what Bhop did to Pavlik. What Calzaghe did to Jeff Lacy.

I give JMM the utmost credit for battling back the way he did but that was no schooling. He overcame being dropped 3x by an at the time "one dimensional fighter" and went on to win many of the following rounds but it still wasn't enough to overcome that first round deficit.

Taking someone to school is turning a fight around when the odds have been against you. When Kovalev dropped Ward how many Krusher fans were convinced he would win or it wouldn't go 12...

Ward was smacking Kova's head. The better p4p performer wins the bout. Kova was scared to fight. Ward does what he normally does to win a fight... neutralize and win rounds
