Ever occur to you that some folk just don't see the world in those terms? Fuck's your 'race war' got to do with me or my enjoyment of boxing? I guess you see what you look for though - like I tend to see the world (and race relations) in terms of political and social inequality just by dint of of a devout socialist upbringing - just can't help myself. But hey, at least it helps to make sense of where you're coming from.
A moment of honesty for once

Americans talk about races 24/7, they're obsessed with all that ****. The smart thing to do would be to stay away from these racial debates and not being a part of the problem
For me, it's amusing to see all these black americans and anglos thrashing each other because I'm not a part of both of these sides, but sometimes it's going too far
When I see somebody talk **** about "Russians" here, I feel like I need to say some **** about Americans in response, and tnat's how negativity spreads further
You can support your own kind without trying to discredit other fighters, that's what mother****ers on this site doesn't understand. I try to support my people, but I call a spade a spade - if I don't like Golovkin I can't pretend like he's one of my favorite fighters and I can't go against reality, both Jacobs/Golovkin and Ward/Kovalev were close fights that could've gone either wayComment

Honestly? I grew up very racially aware, as a minority (white boy) in my East Harlem neighborhood...so I speak with some understanding when I say...there is nothing imo more ridiculous than when people bring racial attitudes into boxing and project them on fighters. Boxing has always been an endevour that favored ********** up and climbing the socioeconomic ladder, its always been about economics, not race! Now, we all have our fun with trolling in here and while fun is definetely an important part of life, then I can't help but feel that we are actually being unfair to the fighters in here.
People know how much I have been picking on Golovkin, talking about how Jacobs exposed him and stuff. Truth be told, that fight could as well have been a draw and it was no robbery. Both fought a great fight. I was annoyed at the white men's ego when they couldn't admit that Ward won a close fight over Kovalev (that also could just have been a draw). But that is not Golovkin's fault. People had asked him to step up for a long time. He did. And he should get praise for that, not punishment.
As for Kovalev, then yeah, Ward did not school him. It was a close fight that could as well have been a draw. Respect for Kovalev and respect for Ward, both gave us a modern classic of a fight and they should be praised for it.
All of this racist **** has gone too far. Let's just respect these warriors who, black or white, are more manly than any of us will ever be. Let's give credit where credit is due.
IMO, Golovkin-Jacobs and Kovalev-Ward could both have been draws and any honest person could see that it was close fights which could have gone either way. Even if one is in denial about that, then at least respect all the great warriors involved in these bouts.
Thats why there were at one point great ***ish fighters, Choyinski taught Johnson! And great Irish and Italian and Puerto Rican fighters... Blacks have always been in boxing which imo is a tribute, a credit to African Americans. But its about class, economic class, not race imo.
And here is something else to consider: There was a writer who wrote about an average heavyweight Todd Herring...According to this writer Herring was the terror of the neighborhood in Houston Texas. This fierce, demon of a man was an average professional fighter...the point is, to be an elite professional fighter transcends everything normal, so why not race?Comment

The only thing Jacobs exposed is that GGG can't knock everybody out and that a very good fighter with the right skills and style can hold him to a close win. It sounds like you are saying you think Ward and Jacobs both won but they were close fights that could have reasonable been called draws. I though GGG won by a point or two but I would be OK with a draw. I would not be OK with a Jacobs win. I thought Kovalev was a clear winner. Ward winning that fight was a very bad decision and a draw would be almost as bad. That's just my opinion . Everyone has their opinion and their own way of scoring a fight. I am not trying to change anybody"s mind. Everyone has the right to score fights the way they see them.Comment

A fight cant be close when one guy gets hit with 60+ more punches, lands at a higher percentage, throws like 80 more punches and lands 3-1 in the jab department.Comment

I think you are confused bro. There is no "my." I'd imagine you'd agree if you were objective. You don't find heads on NSB claiming "this white...bruva...demographics...etc.." funny? I like a whole mix of fighters.Ever occur to you that some folk just don't see the world in those terms? Fuck's your 'race war' got to do with me or my enjoyment of boxing? Objectivity huh? Well that's kinda my point. Sure there's some dudes who either in jest or seriousness say that stuff. In my world much of it's in response to the kind of fun you have when you're posting, just as I'm sure you'd say you're just responding to the **** you see off others. It's a pointless cycle far as I'm concerned, and I hope both you and they are in it for your own satisfaction cos it it sure ain't doing anything to address racism in boxing.Comment

Kovalev even in losing, lost a close close fight to an A level fighter, Golovkin barely beat B level Jacobs. I told you all, pirog would've beaten the **** out of golovkin...too bad, he would've stopped this bs hypejob then and there.Everyone said Kova won because of the knockdown and Ward won 5 of the last six, maybe 6 in all as Kova was just coasting. Then you had Ward winning at least 2 in the first half.. p4p supremacy. Compared to a less tactical bout in GGG vs Jacobs... I still gave GGG the 12th that edged it out. Two different bouts. However the problem could the current p4p rankings that have people focused on the bouts too much. Golovkin ahead of Kovalev is blasphemous to many which is why they have to commit in saying Kova wonComment
