there is actually an agreement between the sanctioning bodies regarding respecting other groups mandos, and who goes first in the case of multiple mandos due at the same time.

GGG would not have been stripped if Jacobs opted from the beginning to not fight for the IBF title. GGG would still have had to pay his fees, and do the 2nd day weigh in, and it would have counted as a voluntary defense.

Same thing when Baldomir didnt want to pay the IBF for the Judah fight. Judah still defended the IBF belt in that fight.

I still think GGG's team knew what Jacobs was going to do, or at least, that it was a possibility. They bent over backwards to give Danny what he needed to get the fight made, and with GGG being able to make the fight day weight so easily, it really was no skin off his nose if Jacobs didn't bother trying.

I think he's wrong. Golovkin is big on doing right for the sport and always being respectful. I doubt he would let his team pull something like this even if it was in his best interest.
