Abel Sanchez, trainer for IBF, WBC, WBA, IBO middleweight champion Gennady Golovkin (37-0, 33 KOs), has no problem with Daniel Jacobs (32-2, 29 KOs) blowing off the IBF's second day weigh-in. Two weeks ago at New York's Madison Square Garden, Golovkin won a twelve round unanimous decision over Jacobs.

once again, Golovkin's whiney fanbase made themselves look silly over nothing
waaaaah, he big doe..... sounded real silly considering Golovkin can supposedly handle Ward, Kovalev, and StevensonComment

Check this out. It's rumored that Mayweather vs McGregor is going to happen on September 16th at the T-mobile Arena in Las Vegas on PPV. If this happens then it would put the GGG-Canelo fight in a bind. So the September excuse from Oscar may go out the window. Could GGG-Canelo happen in November instead. Or will there be other excuses from either side? Check out this article :

The link to the article may not be working. But I saw it on ************. And yeah Floyd is only about the $$$$$ , if that fight does happen at least that may be the last time we have to deal with seeing Floyd. And that fight would count as his 50th win, SMH, to quote Don King, Only in America. We'll see how this all pans out if it comes to fruition and how the proposed Canelo-Golovkin fight is affected. Lol I see my words of where I saw the article were blocked, fair enough. Lol, just type Mayweather vs McGregor on Google and you'll see it.Last edited by The Time; 03-28-2017, 01:34 AM.Comment

Huh. Reading the article, it doesn't sound like the usual Abe Sanchez at all. Sounds very understanding an honest. Of course, it's easier to say when your fighter walked away with the W but I'm still impressed that he said this in the face of the controversy.
Respect were it's due.
It also saved GGG a lot of hassle getting permission from the IBF to fight at MW without defending their title. That could have been a problem if Jacobs had announced beforehand that he didn't intend challenging for the IBF belt.
A case of, "You scratch my back, I'll scratch yours"
The 9 am weigh in, which gave Jacobs over 38 hours to rehydrate after making 160, was fortuitous (for Danny) and K2 not protesting about it shows how much confidence they had in GGG.
It turned out to be a damned close call though. I can't help wondering what Abel would be saying now if Danny had got the nod!Last edited by kafkod; 03-28-2017, 06:24 AM.Comment
