Lemieux being added is a clear message to GGG either sign the contract or you can go fight bum saunders in June and we giving the Sept payday to lemieux. If the fight is close Chavez rematch, cotto rematch or lemieux in Sept and GGG has to wait till 2018. GGG has no leverage if he's smart take the deal now and iron out the rest of the details after the Chavez fight. Go directly into mega fight in Sept make a career payday. Holding out for more money and dinking around with a June fight is not worth the risk.

Just last week all i heard from GGG fangirls is Golden Boy is afraid to put him in with Lemieux because he knocks Canelo out and now days later you guys flip and tell me he's a guy with no-chance? Up to him I guess. There's different ways to play it. Personally I don't really give much of a fuck, but I can understand how GGG might not be willing to wait on Oscars whims. Also the June 10 date happens to be the opening date of the Kazakhstan Expo so it's entirely possible the offer is time limited... ie. He might not be able to fight Saunders in August - at least not for the same money.

EDIT: Anyways maybe it's just more important to Golovkin to fight in a major event in his home country, in front of an adoring crowd - probably in a stadium -and to become to the first Undisputed champ in a decade - than it is to fight Canelo. Y'Know 'Glorious Homecoming' and all that? I know K'Stan may be bumblefuck nowhere to you, but he's a national hero there. And it's probably an easier fight too. Just a thought.
