Why does Lemieux need such irrelevant stay busy fight?

Avila/Diaz is a good fight. Decent stay busy opponent for Lemieux to build up a potential fight with Canelo

Canelo is the A side and doesn't care about GGG's personal mission to fight a bum in kaza phuk stan for fairy tale money. You want Canelo then do what you have to get that fight now and save fairy tale kaza phuk stan fight for another time. Otherwise there are many other fighters that would love a career payday. Chavez making more money against Canelo then GGG and Jacobs got combined including the entire undercard. Kaza phuk stan money = Dubai fairy tale 35m offer for Manny Pacquiao. Canelo = real money GGG will never see in boxing.

And that's why Canelo is a b1tch. Money isn't everything. GGG is trying to make his money and remain credible. Canelo just wants to make millions fighting guys with no-chance.

If the fight is close Chavez rematch, cotto rematch or lemieux in Sept and GGG has to wait till 2018. GGG has no leverage if he's smart take the deal now and iron out the rest of the details after the Chavez fight. Go directly into mega fight in Sept make a career payday. Holding out for more money and dinking around with a June fight is not worth the risk.
Rather depends what they'd pay him to go home and fight at the Expo in K'Stan I'd imagine. If I'm Golovkin the last thing I'd do is skip out on a decent payday in the hopes that GBP don't decide to go a different route. Man would he look ****** if he skipped out of a unifier and big payday in front of his home crowd only to be left with his d1ck in his hand when Canelo decides to rematch Jr.

Just last week all i heard from GGG fangirls is Golden Boy is afraid to put him in with Lemieux because he knocks Canelo out and now days later you guys flip and tell me he's a guy with no-chance? Pick a side on the fence GGG fangirls and please stay on it. Lemieux is ranked HIGHER on everybody rankings (Ring, ESPN, ect) then Saunders.

All GGG has to do is agree now and finalize in May. If the negotiations break down after the Chavez fight he can always fall back and fight Saunders who is going NOWHERE in Aug instead. And that's the risk you are in when you are the B side. You have to sit and wait and do things on somebody else's terms and timetable. Floyd had to agree to all of Oscar's terms to get the fight including his date, his weight, his ring size ect. GGG can either play his B side role to get the fight now or watch someone else get that fight in Sept. Lemieux or someone else will gladly agree to every Canelo term to make a career payday.

So if Canelo screws him again, he's lost a huge pay, and chance to unify in his own country, in June that he can never get back. Your own description shows how crap that deal is and only an idiot would agree to it.

This is a worse opponent for Lemieux then we were even talking about earlier (Tureano, Quiggly etc.) Awful undercard.

Up to him I guess. There's different ways to play it. Personally I don't really give much of a fuck, but I can understand how GGG might not be willing to wait on Oscars whims. Also the June 10 date happens to be the opening date of the Kazakhstan Expo so it's entirely possible the offer is time limited... ie. He might not be able to fight Saunders in August - at least not for the same money.

EDIT: Anyways maybe it's just more important to Golovkin to fight in a major event in his home country, in front of an adoring crowd - probably in a stadium -and to become to the first Undisputed champ in a decade - than it is to fight Canelo. Y'Know 'Glorious Homecoming' and all that? I know K'Stan may be bumblefuck nowhere to you, but he's a national hero there. And it's probably an easier fight too. Just a thought.
