They insisted upon 164 for a Ward fight knowing Ward would be shyte house lucky to make 168 and 164 was out of the question. They could act like they were interested in a Ward fight but wouldn't actually have to fight him. Clear duck. Can't speak on the other.

Lomachenko would probably stop Salido in a rematch. Mikey G. and Linares are the real threats. Honestly not sure if he is ready to move up again and fight them. Their weight and power may be too much for him at the moment. He should probably take an easy fight at 135 to fet accustomed to the weight before fighting either man.

The 164 was in response to Ward demanding 50/50 split, as stated by Loeffler in mid 2015 (June or July iirc). By that time, the fight was already dead with Golovkin telling Ward he's dead to him. When the fight was actually seriously discussed, late 2014-early 2015, there were no catchweights.

For Brook, he didn't push it that hard and just wanted the money. Didn't make too much stink out of it.

For Alvarez, Golovkin was mandatory and didn't have to accept a catchweight, so they stood their ground. That's one of the priviliges he worked for.

For a guy who failed Boxing 101 promotional work it is understandable to confuse K2 (a promotional team) with "this man." "This man" handling negotiations as Loeffler correct? Don't get soft on a boxing forum.
