And Ward has ZERO losses unlike Salido and his DOZEN+

If you look at p4p as "who would win all things being equal" you can see it's a useless discussion.
In that scenario you might have Gonzales in a match up vs Joshua.
How would you equalize that fight? Theoretically they fight at the same weight and keep their skills. So the heavyweight keeps his punching power and the super flyweight keeps his speed, footwork, defense and combination punching.
You're comparing apples and oranges and that's a waste of energy. Energy that might be used hating on some other guys favorite fighter. lol

#1 is still debatable between Crawford, Ward, Kovalev & Lomachenko though. Golovkin would need to clearly beat Saunders & Canelo to take the #1 spot. He also needs to rematch Jacobs eventually. Ward/Kovalev need a clear win against one another. I chose Crawford at #1 currently since he hasn't been introuble with any opponent he's faced yet. His level of competition maybe isn't as good though so it's all up for debate. Gonzalez goes down the rankings due to officially losing whether it was a close fight or not. A #1 P4P fighter shouldn't have a loss in their last fight. Also, Lomachenko needs some more fights under his belt to be labeled #1 in my opinion.

Wherever you rank Lomachenko you have to put Mikey Garcia right there with him.

Both fought Rocky Martinez and Orlando Salido, with Mikey actually holding an official win over Salido instead of a loss.

Also...p4p should be based on a combination of skills plus resume. Not just one or the other.

THERE IS A BUNCH OF VERY GOOD FIGHTERS, nothing special to say he is the number one.




Broner is 4 division champ too.

Leo Santa Cruz and Jorge Linares are 3 champ.

González never unified a title and he never was the #1.

To me Chocolatito never lost compare to Broner. If we go based on division Champions Manny will always be pound for pound as long as he is active. GGG has never won a title in two divsion. Lomachenko has never unified. Mikey has never unify either.

I hate to sound like a Loma apologist, but...think about it. That was Lomachenko's SECOND career professional fight. And he was going against a 55 professional fight veteran who was a former two division world champion. Salido had 43 professional wins to Lomachenko's ONE at the time of the fight. That is freaking unheard of. And let's not act like that wasn't a razor thin win for Salido. It was a split decision.

but... but loma had 400 amateur fights doe... 2 time olympic gold medalist doe...

then when someone brings up GGG's amateur record it doesn't count because........... this is the pros doe.......
