You came out made a strong statement that in order for a fighter to be great he needs to move up. Your very acknowledgement of Hagler's greatness is a tacit admission you were wrong. I was making a very specific point to something you specifically said.
As for the rest, I agree. The problem with GGG is that there is no Tommy Hearns, Roberto Duran or Sugar Ray Leonard to test himself against. Miguel Cotto could have been a much lesser version of Roberto Duran for GGG's resume but Cotto chose to run away. In any case, I would argue that the only guys north of 160 that could have a similar impact on GGG's resume would be Andre Ward and Sergei Kovalev. But during the time GGG was starting to get known amongst the American fight fans Andre Ward was locked up in a legal fight with his promoter that derailed his career for a while. For his part Sergei Kovalev fought (and still fights) two divisions higher than GGG. With potentially big money fights against superstar fighters like Miguel Cotto (at the time) and Saul Alvarez on the horizon can anyone really blame GGG for holding out to see if he could get those fights.
Finally, we do not know what heights guys like Jacobs, Andrade and the Charlo brothers can achieve. Maybe the flame out. Maybe there is a future hall of famer in there amongst them. Who knows. It'll be excited to find out and I'd love for GGG to be the one who helps determine that.
That's interesting. I did not know that.Comment

that is what I can't stand about you ***-tards
FACT: Mr "anyone from 154-168" totally refused to negotiate on weight with lil old faded 153lb Cotto..... Cotto said I will fight anyone at catchweight, but Mr "154-168" totally refused to consider fighting under 160, despite the fact that Cotto was his best possible payday
Cotto continued doing his thing, and Golovkin refused to be a part of it..... and yet, you CHOOSE to blame the A-side, Cotto..... not the B-side, Mr "anyone from 154-168", who totally refused to live up to his hype, AGAIN
and only pond-scum deny that GGG avoided Ward TWICE
your boy just got exposed by Danny Jacobs, so you should seriously STFU about WardLast edited by aboutfkntime; 03-26-2017, 05:29 PM.Comment

So5'9" Canelo at 26 yrs old is supposed to face fighters that are up to 6'1" as well as the best in their divisions every fight? Hes supposed to fight at multiple weights, hes supposed to jump 15 lbs instead of 10 to face a 6'1" lhw with a far better record than ggg? Hes weightdraining chavez by not accommodating him by moving up 15 lbs. So chavezcito need not stay disciplined? Hes also supposed to give the other fighter half his money because the other fighter said so? Hes also supposed to move up or down randomly each fight to face the best at both jmw & mw? Ggg on the other hand should not be judged on actual resume but by duckers resume oh sorry supposed duckers resume? When gs retired the hall of fame will say even though you chose the weakest unknown fighters with horrible records you are still a legend because were sure if youd fought those hof fighters youd have won. Its those guys who are a disgrace even though they all fought each other? Ggg is such a special talent that he doesn't need to fight bigger guys because its unfair to him to not be the bigger man,& if he loses to a 1 off bigger man he didnt lose because he was at a disadvantage & it shouldn't count? We ALL KNOW G WOULD DESTROY ANYONE FROM 154-168 SO HE DOESNT NEED TO MESS UP HIS FACIAL SCRUB BY FIGHTING THOSE PUSHOVER P4P CHAMPIONS? Only a moron like me would ever doubt such truths?:bukkake:

Mora is a smart guy. He's really eloquent and I love to hear him talk about boxing. But the guy peaked when he beat Vernon Forrest back in 2008. His best win since that time came against someone GGG had destroyed 9 months prior. Adana was a busy fight everyone knew that. Mora would have been a stay busy fight as well. At the time Mora was still trying to rebuild himself after losing to the indomitable Brian Vera for the second time.
Seriously, you couldn't come up with a better opponent than Mora???
neither could Team Bullshht
they ducked Mora to fight someone worse
showing your ignorance I'm afraid
back in 2012, that fight was a no-brainer...... the very best opponent for an up-and-comer who is trying to establish himself on the world stage..... is an ex-champ who has clearly faded..... EVERYONE knows that, and boxing has ALWAYS worked that way
that dozen-or-so silly excuses that Loeffler stuttered and stammered his way through to kill any talk of that fight, were highly amusing..... as are yours
you dumbass...... after watching the Jacobs fight, it is clearly obvious why they avoided mover/spoilers like Mora/Lara/WardComment
