I don't know about that. At the post fight press conference, Abel said that Golovkin would be vacating his titles after Saunders. I don't think he has any intent on fighting Tureano or the Langford/Khurtsidze winner. If no Canelo, he might go after Jacobs (but I'm betting it'll be difficult to make that fight again, Jacobs sounds like he wants to live off that close loss for awhile), Eubank, Charlo, Rameriz, or DeGale.

I think what Abel said was that he expected that Jacobs would be able to pick up one of the belts once Gennady vacates them as he is the 2nd best middleweight. I don't think he'd vacate before September, the Canelo is too big and having all the belts would give him a lot of leverage and build the fight up even more.

I don't think any of the mandatories will give Jacobs a fight after his performance last week, so while I would like to see him fight GGG again, he's probably best off establishing himself at super middleweight if he wants to force a rematch.

As I understand, they signed a contract to fight each other before Don King even knew where he was going to get the money from. Does that excuse them? I don't know. Regardless, I don't think it's right. And I find it implausible that the fight couldn't have been made any other way.

Do you personally think it's morally correct to take blood money from a brutal military dictator of a poor country to promote a fight? I don't. I would love to hear your opinion though.
