  • Comments Thread For: Mikey Garcia: No Credit, Lomachenko Doing What I Did Years Ago!

WBC lightweight world champion Mikey Garcia (36-0, 30 KOs) is not impressed with the career accomplishments of WBO super featherweight champion Vasyl Lomachenko (7-1, 5 KOs). Two months ago in Las Vegas, Garcia became a three division world champion after a brutal three round knockout of undefeated Dejan Zlaticanin.

Mikey you been reading my post history?. Exactly what I said a few months ago. Nearly half a decade since he ripped through Salido etc.
If they manage to pull off the Loma vs Mikey bout this might be one of the best years of Boxing I've lived through.

Would be a great fight. There's abit of difference fighting Salido in one of your first fights and later on when your a seasoned pro though. Still, hope they make this fight.

Yes but he didn't rip through Salido in his second pro fight. I don't think he is overhyped. The Walters fight was very impressive as was the Martinez fight. The guy has 8 professional fights so u have to admit that he has accomplished alot in a short period of time.

yeah, he is doing what you did years ago but he is doing it with less than 10 professional fights.

I give Loma credit for the wins over Gary Russell and Nicholas Walters ( even though he took the fight after a year long layoff) it was impressive. But I just think Mikey Garcia is on a different level plus he'll have the experience and size advantage being that he isn't the one moving up.

He is also doing it against different styles. Can you name me one opponent of Garcia who didn't walk straight into his shots? Loma's opposition, which parallels some of Garcia's, also includes Russell and Walters, which imo are of higher quality.
